Tonight’s session was mostly about me fighting with my tripod and my manual lens focusing.  I think this came out Ok, though.

  1. My wife came home that evening from a late meeting. She said “Did you see the nice big moon?” I got up to go look. It had clouded over. I missed it. Your photo helped. Thanks.

  2. Where I live, there’s been a consistent layer of thin clouds every night. This would normally be very frustrating, but it’s thin enough that the Moon, Jupiter, and a few of the brightest stars still shine through. The effect has been interesting. Everything looks slightly blurry, almost dream-like. It kind of reminds me of a certain Van Gogh painting.
